Horse Girls
By Jenny Rachel Weiner
9/11/26 - 10/10/26
In Horse Girls, twelve-year-old Ashleigh rules the Lady Jean Ladies, an exclusive South Florida horse club where friendship, status, obsession, and control are braided together with terrifying precision. When the girls learn that Ashleigh’s family stables may be sold and their beloved horses killed for meat, their club meeting spirals into a darkly funny crisis of loyalty, power, and middle-school desperation.
Horse Girls is a one-act dark comedy about pre-teens, obsession, belonging, cruelty, and the specific horror of trying to survive girlhood.
CONTENT ADVISORY: This play includes strong language, bullying, emotional manipulation, sexual references, staged intimacy/kissing, discussion of animal death/slaughter, and dark comedic themes involving adolescent cruelty and group power dynamics.
